It's been ages since we've blogged...partly because our camera got stolen ...and our 7-year old iMac was creaking along with limited memory ...and we had visitors ... and we took a 4-week trip to Africa! But, we're back now with a new camera and a new computer, so we're ready to go. We got the new iMac and we're loving it!!! We'll try to post about the different parts of our trip over the next few days. So here's a teaser:

I'm LOVING all of the photos. Pucker up bubba! :) And the hippos mouth opens WAY too large. That was scary. I love the lions belly hanging and all of the cute pics of the kids! Love you guys. Welcome back to the world of blogging! So good to see you return! I can't wait for more pictures. Love you!
Wow! What an amazing experience for you guys. Africa is now at the top of my "Places-I-Want-to-Visit-Before-I-Die" list. Also, I'm apparently way behind on the goings-on of your family - I didn't know you had a third child until today. Congratulations! We actually have a new addition too; Xander (I know...everyone else thinks it's a pretty original name though)was born last September. We miss you.

Logged on through Erin D's blog just to see what you guys are up to. The last time I clicked your link was just after your post about returning to Hanoi after gaining the extra family member. (Yeah, I spend about 5-6 days a year catching up on blogs--not a huge priority in my life, but fun when I make the time.)
As I read, I couldn't help but think that your life has taken some interesting twists and turns away from the rural Kentucky scene where I first met your folks, Christian (we were moving out just as they moved in--fun family!).
